Hello 2013!

I can’t believe another year has flown by. I hope to blog more than I did last year.  We are still traveling along on our adoption journey. We are hoping 2013 brings a new member to our family.  We are excited that my parents are now living close by. This will help when our little family begins to grow. We are so thankful to have both sides of parents close.

This last Christmas was tons of fun. Scoops was so excited Christmas morning to see what santa brought. He wrote his own note to Santa the night before asking for Legos and Star Wars Angry Birds. Santa brought plenty of those things and more. I am beginning to think our house will soon be made out of Legos we have so many.  Hubs wanted Legos from Santa also. Santa didn’t disappoint.  We were blessed to see all our parents around Christmas. Minus the stomach bug that attacked around the holidays 2012 ended on a good note.

I am not one to make New Year resolutions but I do have a few goals for myself. I would like to make more meals at home. This is sometimes hard for me since one of us is usually gone in the evenings. It would be so much better for us in many ways. I am just praying God will give me motivation to keep it up. I did make a menu for this week and I kept it simple so I can succeed.  I also would like to do some sort of activity every day. I really have no desire to be an exercise queen. I would like to treat my body better and feel better. I plan on recruiting my mom to walk around the mall with me during the week. Maybe when the weather warms up we can walk outside or find some other activity. I know with God’s help I can work on these goals to make better habits.

Well I have rambled on enough. If you are reading this you deserve a cookie for making it to the end.
